DF Communications Named a Double Finalist in National Awards

DF Communications, a leading business communications specialist, has been announced as a finalist in two categories at a prestigious industry event.

DF Communications, which delivers mobile phone and landline products and services, has been shortlisted in the Best Enterprise Unified Communications Solution and Best Enterprise Cloud Solution at the 2017 Comms National Awards.

Both award entries focused on project work completed for North Star Shipping – part of The Craig Group – which reduced costs and improved communications for the client.

In total, DF Communications connected 136 hosted IP phones on 34 vessels in North Star Shipping's fleet, which supports around 50 offshore installations in the North West European Area (NWEA).

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel in London on October 12 (2017).

Craig Forsyth, sales director at DF Communications, said: “This project highlighted the capability of the business to deliver, using our in-house knowledge and experience alongside the capabilities of trusted partners.

“The project reduced our client's reliance on expensive satellite connections and also enhanced the quality of communications onboard the vessels. We are absolutely thrilled to be nominated for both of these national awards.”

DF Communications created a hosted solution that could seamlessly connect to three different networks – Vessel 4G, offshore installation 4G and V-SAT (satellite communications). The technology provides the client with the option of installing any number of users depending on the requirements of each vessel.

A past winner of a Northern Star Award for customer service, DF Communications also supplies wi-fi solutions, hands-free car solutions and vehicle tracking to local, national and international businesses.  In addition, its in-house agency, DF Creative, offers a range of design, digital and multimedia services including branding and graphic design, fully responsive web design, brochures, drone photography and video.
