Geobit, ISTI and HMSC join together at the SEG Annual Meeting in Houston, Texas this September. We welcome you to visit us at our booth, #2521, to meet our team and learn about the latest offerings. Paul Friberg & Ilya Driker (ISTI), Mike Hasting (HMSC, Inc.), and Dimitris Mourtzouchos & Nikos Germenis (Geobit) will be available to answer your questions.
With 65+ years of combined experience, GEObit, HMSCinc and ISTI are joining forces and become the most competitive and the most fast growing joint venture group in the seismic monitoring services industry.
Providing state of the art technology of seismic instruments, as well as installation, monitoring and processing services, our group is able to deliver cost effective total solutions to the energy exploration & production industry, especially to the oil, gas and geothermal sector. Our key benefit is that we produce in-house hardware and software and we install and maintain the micro-seismic monitoring network. In other words, we make the technology – we apply the technology – we offer the technology.
We have huge and worldwide experience having installed and operated seismic networks all over the world, from Indonesia/Papua jungle to Middle-East Desert and from Alaska glaciers to Himalayan Mountains, while in the USA we are currently running numerous monitoring projects.
GEObit, (Geobit Instruments Ltd.), provides high sensitivity wide-band and near broad-band seismic sensors, surface or borehole type, and high dynamic range, low power 32bit ADC data loggers with local data storage and real time telemetry over seedlink protocol. We are focusing to low power and cost efficient solutions so we provide to our customer seismic networks with low installation and maintenance costs. Our instruments are ideal for local and regional seismicity and micro-seismicity monitoring and for seismic events such as those induced by unconventional hydrocarbon extraction. Our high fidelity data-loggers ensure that these signals are recorded with the highest resolution and timing accuracy.
HMSCinc, (Hasting Micro-Seismic Consulting, Inc.), builds and installs dedicated micro-seismic monitoring networks for seismicity monitoring, providing Integrated seismic station solutions, pre-drilling background monitoring, installation of bore-hole stations, real-time event detection and location Services, as well as expert testimony.
ISTI, (Instrumental Software Technologies, Inc.), specializes in developing custom data acquisition, analysis and processing software for the geophysical sciences.. Micro-seismic data acquisition and processing is performed by custom solutions using existing open source software as a foundation, saving our customers both time and money. ISTI provides several products and services covering all geophysical applications and monitoring needs of the industry.
