PHOENIX, May 27th, 2020/PRESS RELEASE/ MERCO LLC (Privately Held) today announced the company has completed their formal process and hired Brett A. Murray as new leadership as Chief Operating Officer and President.
"I have known Mr. Murray since 2013 when I purchased his personal holdings of wells in Sheridan County, MT. The professionalism as well as his track record speak volumes of his character and career. The last few deals we have completed before I formed MERCO, made this decision an easy one. Murray from his time in 2008 with Sundance Energy and then again in Anschutz shows how he is more than capable of acquiring assets during the downturns and divesting at multiple X's. He brings a wealth of knowledge and large rolodex of networking to MERCO," said Chris Kiernan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer.
"I am thrilled and honored to join Kiernan at MERCO as we dive headfirst into acquiring assets. I've known Kiernan for some time and his storied career as well as his investments outside the energy sector was beyond attractive in accepting this position. We will acquire assets and add additional roles that compliment the prospects. All while having zero exposure to market pricing and drilling obligations," said Brett A. Murray, incoming Chief Operating Officer and President.
