Pro-Sapien client LBC Tank Terminals (LBC) has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Verdantix 2019 EHS Innovation Awards taking place in Atlanta, Georgia in September.
With over 80 submissions, LBC reached the Transport and Logistics category final with their successes using Pro-Sapien EHS software on Office 365.
Allison Volbeda-Newell, Group Corporate Social Responsibility Director at LBC said:
“LBC takes a holistic approach to risk management. We implemented Pro-Sapien as part of this approach, and have improved employee engagement ever since. Not only that, we're now proactively capturing a broader spectrum of risks covering all aspects of Corporate Social Responsibility throughout the company. This focus on actively tracking proactive reporting and assigning risk treatment measures using the Action Manager makes LBC an even safer and more rewarding place to work. We're pleased with this recognition and would be over the moon to pick up the award in September with Pro-Sapien.”
Since Pro-Sapien's implementation in 2017, LBC Tank Terminals saw an 83% increase in reporting from non-EHS staff. Consequently, a 208% increase in Incident Reports and a 370% increase in Near Misses and Unsafe Situations Reports.
Furthermore, LBC has experienced huge time savings when running HSSEQ reports and when training new users.
LBC is an independent operator of midstream and downstream bulk liquid storage facilities for chemicals, oils and refined petroleum products. Headquartered in Belgium, the enterprise has facilities across Europe and the US, serving over 300 customers.
Prior to Pro-Sapien, LBC used an outdated Oracle-based system. It required one FTE to administer, and only around three staff per site had the ability to use it.
Pro-Sapien specialises in providing tailored EHS management software on SharePoint and Office 365.
Developed with high risk and heavily regulated sectors in mind, Pro-Sapien seamlessly integrates with Office 365. Benefits include single sign on, a familiar and friendly user-interface, and in-house change capabilites.
Murray Ferguson, Commercial Director at Pro-Sapien, said:
"I'm absolutely delighted that the LBC team have been recognised for their EHS process improvements. Moreover, I'm proud that Pro-Sapien assisted them in that journey. Demonstrating the EHS performance improvement with quantitative figures makes what we do at Pro-Sapien all the more compelling."
In a press release, Steve Bolton, Verdantix EHS Research Director said:
"This year's entries highlight the pioneering nature of the EHS industry, which continues to innovate and push boundaries through technology."
The Verdantix EHS Innovation Awards are part of the Verdantix EHS Summit Americas held at the Porsche Heritage Centre in Atlanta, Georgia on 24th and 25th September 2019. Over 170 EHS leaders and technology executives will attend, with speeches from Amazon and National Safety Council.
