Monday June 3rd 2019 – London - Ikon Science, The Leading GeoPrediction Company, launch RokDoc 6.6.3 and iPoint 2019.2 at the EAGE in London this week. The new releases enable efficient and effective digital subsurface workflows by enabling higher data volumes, providing faster well and seismic data processing and innovating new methods, in reservoir optimisation through Time-lapse (4D) modelling and advances in Machine Learning.
"This release sees significant improvements to software performance and usability, truly massive well data handling and management, and sophisticated analysis capabilities in Time-lapse (4D) Reservoir optimisation and the new Machine Learning powered Deep QI module'' commented Ikon Science CTO Denis Saussus.
The dual platforms provide a new frontier in the fusion of large, standardised well centric datasets and the powerful cross disciplinary geophysics, engineering and machine learning based workflows and algorithms available in RokDoc. Geologically optimised algorithms can be developed within Deep QI, deep neural networks trained, and the prediction results delivered back to the dual platform where they can then be accessed by technical and managerial staff across the global organisation through a GIS driven, web and/or desktop based solution.
The release also includes new innovative capabilities in Reservoir optimisation. Time-lapse seismic (4D) analysis provides a flexible framework for rapid integration of geophysical and engineering data to rapidly locate areas in the geophysical data - and flow models that could provide value by infill drilling. New approaches to Time-lapse using the concept of production facies use Ikon Science's flagship Ji-Fi technology, and have been trialled successfully by clients of the Ikon global solutions team.
Ikon Science's EAGE lunch and learns will also showcase presentations from world leading subject matter experts Dr Ehsan Naeini on Deep QI - Machine Learning approach to Quantitative Interpretation, On Tuesday 4th June and by David Johnston entitled – "Reservoir Monitoring - 4D value of information and Time Lapse Analysis'' on Wednesday 5th June.
About Ikon Science
Ikon Science was founded in 2001 to develop quantitative subsurface software technology and solutions that increase the value of oil and gas reserves while reducing drilling costs and operational uncertainty. Through its RokDoc and iPoint software platforms and integrated data and solutions, Ikon Science brings the expertise and innovation required to build knowledge and confidence in sub-surface decision-making, predicting safer, cheaper and more responsible exploration, reservoir optimisation and drilling.
