Posted by Lesley Eaton

Aberdeen-based Aiken Group has announced a cluster of appointments and promotions sparked by an upturn in demand for the company's extensive portfolio of products and services.

Robert Gordon University graduate Jasmine Brock takes up the role of administrator and will also provide support to various departments, including HR.  Meanwhile Colleen Lloyd has moved into the position of finance assistant.

Having previously worked at Aiken Group as an HVAC & Refrigeration apprentice, Kyle McAskill recently returned to the company in the position of sales manager whilst Dave Benzie has returned to the architectural engineering team. Completing the latest band of recruits is Stuart Dinwoodie who joins the team in the role of project manager bringing more than a decade of industry experience to the Crombie Road-based team.

Danny Donald, Managing Director of Aiken Group, said: “Ensuring we have the right people in place has never been more important than it is in the current business climate. Adding people of a consistently high calibre to the team and providing opportunities for career progression are essential in delivering the best possible service. We look forward to Jasmine, Colleen, Kyle, Dave and Stuart playing key roles as we move forward with vigour and confidence.”

Aiken Group is a leading, locally-owned and innovative supplier of integrated, out-sourced and solutions-based engineering and specialist services principally accommodation; engineering, construction and modification and technology and project management. During its history stretching back more than 30 years, it has become well known for its expertise in offshore accommodation provision and has recently made significant inroads into key onshore sectors.

Late last year, the company announced the purchase of Arbroath-based D&M Manufacturing & Welding now known as Aiken Fabrication. As well as being geographically significant to the company's ongoing growth, the additional Arbroath premises add 10,000 square feet of space and two 15-tonne cranes to Aiken Group's capabilities.
