Leading Aberdeenshire Company Reports Sustained Demand For Key Product

Posted by Lesley Eaton

A leading provider of innovative asset cleaning and decontamination solutions has reported ongoing and sustained demand for a key feature of its product portfolio.

Inverurie-based Denholm MacNamee is the approved, exclusive UK license holder for Zyme-Flow® Decon Technology, a patented formulation, single step decontamination system for use in a range of refining and petrochemical applications.

In a single step process, Zyme-Flow® Decon Technology treats the vessel contents whilst eliminating pyrophoric iron sulphide (FeS) and hydrogen sulphide (H₂S) and liberating LEL and benzene to enable fast and safe vessel entry.  The dynamic family of chemistry utilised is non-toxic, non-hazardous, biodegradable, wastewater friendly, near neutral pH and compatible with all metallurgies and process equipment – an attractive option in a range of environments from single vessel decontamination to full plant shutdowns due to its ability to reduce turnaround times.

Due to excellent results achieved using this cost-effective, quick entry method, the company is working with a growing number of major operators on ageing assets in the North Sea with ongoing project success leading to good levels of new and repeat business.

Denholm MacNamee managing director Brian Ritchie said: “There is no doubt that ongoing challenges in the industry are encouraging people to seek more cost-effective solutions and Zyme Flow emphatically ticks that box, as well as being faster, safer and more efficient.

“Looking ahead to the rest of the year, we are excited about the prospects for our business and the central role Zyme Flow will play in driving our success throughout 2017 and beyond.”

Denholm MacNamee is a leading one-stop provider of asset cleaning and decontamination solutions to the oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation and utilities industries and works closely with customers to provide bespoke, uncompromising solutions which give the option to combine services whilst considering key issues such as cost and schedule delivery.   The company uses state-of-the-art equipment backed by experienced, professional technicians to deliver solutions which are always tailored to the requirements of each client to ensure a bespoke service.
