New CEO Mark Bashforth to lead Ikon Science’s product innovation and growth


Ikon Science, a world leader in reservoir geoscience for the upstream oil and gas industry, has appointed Mark Bashforth as new CEO and member of the Board of Directors. Former CEO and company founder Martyn Millwood Hargrave becomes executive chairman following the retirement of Peter Dolan, previously non-executive chairman.

Welcoming Bashforth's appointment, Millwood Hargrave said: ‘During this time of extraordinary industry transformation, there is no better person to lead Ikon Science. Mark is a proven leader with hard-core growth expertise, commercial acumen and an ability to bring people together. His vision for how the company's offering will be experienced by customers is exactly what is needed as we enter the next chapter of expanded product innovation and growth.'

Bashforth brings to Ikon Science top management experience in a number of internationally known companies in the reservoir characterisation sector including FEI Company, CGG Geoscience (Jason/Hampson Russell) and Roxar Software Solutions.
