November 20, 2018, Houston, Texas: Petroleum Industry Data Exchange, Inc. (PIDX) is proud to announce the establishment of new management roles to support its mission to promote collaboration and efficiency within the Oil and Gas industry. Daniela Freeman joins PIDX as Standards and Compliance Manager, focusing on driving the development of new, innovative e-business standards. Karen Diaz joins the organization as Marketing and Events Manager to spearhead new communications and community initiatives.
Daniela was previously the Audience Development Manager at NACE International, the Corrosion Society, as well as Manager of Technical Committees at the society. She has more than 10 years of experience in nonprofit society work, including standards development, symposium program management, editorial and audience work, and copyright management. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a B.A. in Literature.
Before joining PIDX, Karen was a Marketing Launch Manager at HP where she oversaw the New Product Introduction process and deliverables for commercial displays. For more than 10 years, she has worked in creative marketing and event management. Previous roles include international event planning and strategic marketing for a 19,000 legal member association. Karen holds a B.B.A. in Marketing from Southwestern Adventist University.
