Wintershall sign up to AGR’s Well Intelligence Software iQx™

AGR has announced that its well data management and analysis software tool iQˣ™ is to be adopted by Wintershall's flagship Maria field on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).

Wintershall is the latest company to adopt iQx™ joining VNG, Lundin, OMV, AKER BP and LUKOIL Overseas North Shelf.

iQˣ™ is designed to optimise well performance and drilling management by providing a data and knowledge management platform. The tool already holds automatically structured and quality checked well data for all publically available wells on the NCS. The software also has data from over 78,000 well locations worldwide.

The tool is constantly updated with public information and can be programmed to process individual company's data from any industry recognised reporting system or real time data source. The software currently has three modules – experiences, offset data, TIME and GEO to display and analyse data from the drilling unit.

Petter Mathisen, VP of Software Solutions at AGR, said: “We look forward to working with Wintershall and for iQx™ to help streamline the company's well management. Our developers and the dedicated team at Wintershall will look into transferring the logging and drilling data to our platform and create working processes that will push the digitalisation of well data management within the organisation.

“AGR's philosophy is to add value to our client's projects by enabling them to undertake well design planning correctly, understand operational trends and map opportunities to improve efficiency, as well as manage knowledge transfer within internal working teams.”

AGR Software recently entered a strategic alliance with Norwegian technology contractors to drive digitalisation of the oil and gas industry. The collaboration will result in extended version of iQx™ enabling automated execution of End of Well Reports.

AGR delivers well construction and drilling management, well engineering, HSEQ, reservoir and field management services to the upstream oil and gas industry. The company also offers consultancy manpower, expert software solutions and tailored training. AGR operates in all regional main O&G hubs around the world and over the last 15 years has completed over 500 well projects and delivered over 1,500 reservoir studies in all major hydrocarbon basins. www.agr.com
