PSS HIRE, the UK and Ireland's leading utilities and pipeline equipment provider, has announced a strategic channel partnership with flow-stopping solutions specialist, WASK.

WASK, a division of Crane Building Services & Utilities, is a market leader in the supply of pipefittings and pipeline maintenance equipment to the global gas and water distribution sector.

The new partnership will see PSS HIRE distribute WASK Gas Flow-stopping Equipment and provide the associated technical back up, from its network of service centres across the UK and Ireland.

Ashley Bentley, Business Support Manager at PSS HIRE, said WASK's long-established range of low-pressure flow-stopping solutions would provide a perfect fit for the PSS HIRE business model.

He said: “As PSS HIRE is the UK & Ireland's leading provider of specialist equipment to the utility and civils market sectors, it was a logical step and evolution of our growth to partner with WASK - the market leaders in flow-stopping equipment for both the gas and water utility market sectors.

With a dedicated sales force and new national distribution centre providing the service and stock levels to support both equipment sales and spares, it is hoped the the partnership will provide immediate benefits to both new and existing customers.

Ashley explains: “Our new partnership will enable us to expand our product offering and further invest in the latest innovative equipment.

“We are particularly excited to be able to offer WASK's new single hole double bag system, which provides unique health & safety and installation benefits to the gas utilities market sector.”

PSS HIRE operates 14 service centres across the UK & Ireland, offering a full range of equipment for hire, sales or repair to the utilities, civil engineering, pipeline, infrastructure and associated sectors.

The company is a specialist division of A-Plant – the UK's largest equipment rental company.
