Reactive Downhole Tools, independent supplier of well completion solutions to the global oil and gas industry, has appointed a US-based Senior Business Development Manager to support its growth plans for the region.

Jonathan Brian holds over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, including technical sales roles for Isolation Technologies and TAM International. Jonathan's experience in US land and GoM operations has proven to be key in his successful career.

Of Jonathan's appointment, Mike Allen, Chief Executive Officer of Reactive, said: “The US remains a crucial part of our business, and is central to our global growth. We aim to recruit the most talented individuals who have the ambition to seek opportunities and offer our clients optimum solutions – it is clear to us that Jonathan has just that. His skills, drive, knowledge and experience will be of huge benefit to Reactive.”

The appointment comes as the firm recently invested $350,000 into its Houston-based manufacturing and testing facility to support its new wellbore clean-up (WBCU) product line, CHIMERA.

CHIMERA takes an innovative approach to WBCU with a range of modular tools encompassing a scraper, brush and magnet. Each product can be run separately prior to completion operations, or as a comprehensive package.

“We launched CHIMERA at this year's OTC and were blown away by the positive feedback. Based on the quantity and quality of initial enquiries, we are confident in the future success of the product line. Our ultimate aim is to become a full-service global completions provider; hence we've heavily invested in our facilities in line with that to fully support our market penetration.”

Johnathan commented: “I am delighted to join Reactive – having followed the firm's global expansion, and dedication to the region, closely – I believe Reactive's solutions are second to none. This, along with the team's capabilities and exceptional customer service make it an exciting company to be part of and I look forward to supporting its ambitious global growth plans in the US and beyond.”

Jonathan's recruitment continues Reactive's trend of growth and investment in personnel across the US, Europe and Middle East Regions. This year, the firm has increased headcount by nearly 40% and will continue this drive for the foreseeable future.

Established in Aberdeen in 2012, the company currently employs a team of 30 across its bases in Aberdeen, Houston, Abu Dhabi, Norway as well as holding a number of representative agreements worldwide.
