How much detail should go into a reservoir model?


A perennial question, and often addressed poorly in reservoir studies, although always solvable. AGR's TRACS Training Director, Mark Bentley, takes two minutes in Clashach Cove, Scotland to offer a simple workflow to help decide what to do based on Flora's Rule and a consideration of length scales.

With a little thought, reservoir models need not be unnecessarily complex, nor miss essential detail.
