·         Rawson Oil and Gas Limited and Vintage Energy Limited to deepen planned Nangwarry-1 exploration well.

·         The recent Haselgrove-3 ST1 well discovery of gas in the Sawpit formation has provided a second major objective for the Nangwarry-1 exploration well.

·         The PEL 155 Joint Venture believes, through extensive remapping, the Sawpit play concept extends south from Haselgrove into PEL 155 and provides a second major objective for Nangwarry‐1.

·         Nangwarry‐1 now is now planned to target the original top Pretty Hill and deeper Sawpit Sandstone reservoir objectives.

·         The PEL 155 JV has engaged Wellsafe, a well lifecycle engineering consultancy, to provide well engineering advice for the drilling, completion and testing of Nangwarry‐1.

Rawson Oil and Gas Limited “Rawson” is pleased to provide an update on the planning and design of its new gas exploration well, Nangwarry‐1. In conjunction with its joint venture partner, Vintage Energy Pty Ltd “Vintage”, Rawson plans to spud Nangwarry‐1 in licence PEL 155, onshore Otway Basin, South Australia by the end of 2018.

With Haselgrove‐3 ST1 recently discovering gas in the Sawpit Sandstone1 in an adjacent licence the PEL 155 JV believe, through extensive remapping, the Sawpit play concept extends south from Haselgrove into PEL 155 and provides a second major objective for Nangwarry‐1. As a result, Nangwarry‐1 now is now planned to target the original top Pretty Hill and deeper Sawpit Sandstone reservoir objectives.

The PEL 155 JV has engaged Wellsafe, a well lifecycle engineering consultancy headquartered in Adelaide, to provide well engineering advice for the drilling, completion and testing of Nangwarry‐1. The JV is pleased to be utilising their local South Australian expertise.

The initial Nangwarry‐1 basis of design has been completed with an estimated well cost of A$11.5m (including contingency) to enable Nangwarry‐1 to safely interesect the Pretty Hill and Sawpit objectives. In the coming weeks the Joint Venture will commence work on drilling and service contracting options for the drilling of the Nangwarry‐1 well.

Updated Nangwarry resource volumes, including the contribution of the Sawpit Sandstone, are being independently assessed in accordance with SPE‐PRMS guidelines and we will update the market with these volumes once they are available.
