Double Success for BiSN at Offshore Achievement Awards

Posted by Jenny Adams

BiSN, the global leader in innovative metal-to-metal downhole sealing solutions, successfully secured the Innovator Award and Great Company Award (SME) at this year's Offshore Achievement Awards (OAA). Winners were announced at the prestigious awards ceremony last night (Thursday 22 March) in Aberdeen.

BiSN's road to success was the result of its position at the forefront of innovative offshore technology and its consistently strong business performance.

The Great Company Award recognises excellence in SME performance in the offshore energy sector, and was judged the winning entry, based upon the company's development, impact and plans for future success and growth.

The Innovator Award was received in recognition of the company's ground-breaking Wel-lok M2M technology which has revolutionised downhole sealing for the oil and gas industry.

Paul Carragher, CEO of BiSN said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded not one, but two OAAs. To be awarded two prestigious accolades whilst in competition with our industry peers is a great honour.

“The Innovator Award recognises our game-changing Wel-lok M2M technology which has presented a new era in downhole sealing solutions to the oil and gas industry. On top of that, the Great Company Award (SME) acknowledges the successful growth and progress BiSN has made over the last seven years and the dedication of the BiSN team who have worked relentlessly to get the Company to where it is today.

“We are all delighted with this evening's results, and I am extremely proud of the entire team for their continued enthusiasm and commitment to the Company,” concludes Mr Carragher.

Established in 2010, BiSN operates manufacturing and assembly facilities in both Warrington, UK and Houston, USA. With a focus on disruptive technology research and development, the company also undertakes specialist alloy development from its own UK-based laboratory.

Using modified thermite heaters, BiSN's unique Wel-lok M2M technology reduces the heating time required for metal-to-metal sealant from hours to minutes, whilst eliminating the need for specialist wireline equipment, or restriction on deployment depth.
