Swire Oilfield Services Develops Norwegian Operations with New Base

Swire Oilfield Services, a global leading provider of Offshore Containers and oilfield services, has today developed its Norwegian operations with the opening of a new base facility in Mongstad.

Swire Oilfield Services have invested over half a million pounds in the new facility which is approved to NOG091 standards and comprises of 2 acres of yard workshop space and heated storage facilities. The base will support new testing and inspection services as well as extended chemical management facilities for handling, mixing, storage and laboratory services.

Currently, Mongstad is the largest offshore supply base in Europe, shipping more than 1 million tons of goods and suppliers to over 20 installations in the North Sea.

Swire Oilfield Services' CEO Manfred Vonlanthen, previously General Manager of the Norway division commented “Swire has been operating in Norway for over 33 years, supporting major oil and gas clients across 7 base locations. This new facility allows us to support our key clients in Mongstad, as well as deliver extended services across our Norway operation.
