Bumi Armada Deploys RiskPoynt™ as Operational Risk Management and Asset Integrity Solution for FPSOs Globally

DENVER – (December 12, 2017) – Malaysia-based international offshore energy facilities and services provider Bumi Armada Berhad has selected RiskPoynt Barrier Model as their operational risk management and asset integrity solution. Bumi Armada is working with MDI Enterprises to launch cloud-deployed RiskPoynt at FPSOs in the North Sea and across Asia and Africa.

Bumi Armada tapped RiskPoynt after searching for a software tool to improve their process for managing upstream operational risks across their portfolio of FPSOs. They required an operational risk management application that could meet, and exceed, new EU regulatory and reporting standards and provide operations and senior executives with clear visibility over the operational health of its global assets in real time, at any time.

As the fifth largest FPSO operator globally, Bumi Armada continues to pursue new projects across the globe. With the ability to visualize and analyze true cumulative risk, the company will be allowed to create an effective safety culture leading to:

·        Increased operational effectiveness

·        Quicker and better decision-making

·        Decreased costs

·        Better resource allocation

“Our decision to deploy RiskPoynt is based on our strategy of differentiating ourselves by being the leader in safety, reliability and uptime performance across all projects with our operator partners,” said Mark Newby, vice president FPSO operations, Bumi Armada.

“We are committed to this partnership and are certain we can mitigate asset integrity risk and continue to build an empowered, safety first culture across the organization,” says Tim Perman, CEO of RiskPoynt. “Our goal in working with Bumi Armada is to ensure that our RiskPoynt Barrier Model tool meets their needs now and in the future.”

About RiskPoynt™ and MDI Enterprises
