AGR's training division, TRACS Training, is currently celebrating its 25-year anniversary, having trained over 30,000 oil & gas professionals in more than 45 countries.
Established in 1992, the team is delivering tailor-made technical and commercial courses from early development to production optimisation, increased hydrocarbon recovery and P&A to providing introduction to the oil and gas industry to graduates and professionals of other fields.
The courses are particularly well-known for their discursive, interactive and experiential nature; the fact that they are all comprehensively customised for the needs of each client – using client case studies and client data where possible.
TRACS Training are the only training provider in the sector to have developed blended learning packages that combine e-learning with face-to-face events.
For each experience level, TRACS Training have suitable courses from the Series offerings ranging from one-day Masterclass tutoring to three-day and OpenAir development of skills.
Additionally, AGR also has strong links with academia. In 2015, the company announced a partnership with the University of Aberdeen to support the delivery of the university's Petroleum Engineering Master's programme. As of last year, TRACS Training tutors are training students from the Natural Environment Research Council Centre for Doctoral Training in Oil and Gas (NERC CDT).
All of the courses are run by tutors that include many of the industry's leading experts, such as SPE and EAGE Distinguished Lecturers and authors of industry practitioner handbooks.
