- The EIA reported a draw in distillate fuel oil demand for the second week in a row. While distillate fuel oil demand can be very volatile, the cumulative effect of the last two weeks brings it outside of its usual deviation range.
- Finished motor gasoline demand is back within normal range this week after an increase. This reported data can be volatile, and last week's number turned out to be an outlier.
- All the other numbers from the EIA weekly report published today are within their normal range, except for ending stocks of other oils which are below their seasonal range.
- The normal range is defined by analyzing seasonality and trend behaviors in the time series.
