- Both the current Mozambican Petroleum Law and Mega Projects Law include several local content stipulations, such as mandatory registration of oil and gas companies on the Mozambique Stock Exchange; preference given to the Mozambican government by the holders of oil and gas exploration rights for the acquisition of petroleum produced in the concession area; and the requirement for concessionaires to obtain Mozambican participation in their share capital between 5% and 20%.
