Job Overview:           A leading global Services Company in the Oil and Gas industry seeks two Junior IT/Subsurface Consultants. Working in an established Team, you will focus on one client, supporting their global software deployment of geoscience applications from an IT perspective. Applicants are invited from all industries with a minimum of 1 years work experience preferably in an IT support related role.  A Geology/Geophysicist background with a good level of proven IT experience is of interest.   Experience in the deployment of software solutions, competency in relational databases or/and scripting skills is of key interest.  This is an exciting role, learning from experienced IT and subsurface personnel and actively contributing to an environment where science, engineering, large-scale cloud computing, and modern DevOps intersect.

They have been at the forefront of leading technology advancements for nearly three decades, enabling their clients turn critical information into useful knowledge.

You will be fully immersed within the existing team, mentored and trained to deliver against the project commitments as well as being developed in new technologies and processes, helping to troubleshoot and resolve problems and issues to ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction.

The role is based in Krakow but there could be a requirement for occasional travel.

  • Contribute to the delivery of the Company's software and services for clients.
  • Assist in the resolution of application operational issues – this could be via phone, email or site visit.
  • Where there are changes to the software you will communicate and schedule application and infrastructural updates with related stakeholders. You will identify and understand any implications of these changes as part of the scheduling process.

This is a junior level role and a career development path is designed for you to learn new technologies and grasp new technical concepts quickly, enabling you to understand issues and drive solutions.
