Job Summary

  • 4+ years of commercial HVAC service, maintenance and installation of HVAC equipment
  • Familiar with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Must be able to read and understand one-line, three-line, wiring and schematic drawings
  • Safe working knowledge of commercial/industrial HVAC rooftop units, split systems, package units, and exhaust systems including reading and understanding the equipment specifications
  • Safe working knowledge of electrical and mechanical components of commercial/industrial HVAC systems
  • Troubleshooting skills for commercial/industrial HVAC systems and associated hardware/software
  • Safe working knowledge of electrical and electronic circuit board level components
  • Safe working knowledge of installation of sheet metal and other duct components
Job Responsibilities
  • Provides day-to-day management of operational priorities to maintain integrity of the facility
  • Ensures maintenance and provides testing of equipment as needed
  • Monitors and records all key operational parameters
  • Maintains awareness of performance standards and their relevance to process operations, maintenance and performance requirements
  • Reports activities that could impact the safe operation of processes and/or systems, including potential process safety and operational optimization issues
  • Complies with BP's Code of Conduct and models BP's Values & Behaviours
Essential Education
  • High School diploma or general education degree
  • Preferred: HVAC Journeyman card or 4 plus years of direct experience
If you are selected for a position in the United States, your employment will be contingent upon submission to and successful completion of a post-offer/pre-placement drug test(and alcohol screening/medical examination if required by the role) as well as pre-placement verification of the information and qualifications provided during the selection process. The drug screen requires a hair test for which BP must be able to obtain a sufficient hair sample for analysis (~4 cm/1 ½" scalp, or > 2 cm/¾" body - arms & armpits/legs/chest)
