Drilling & Workover (D&WO) is currently seeking an experienced Joint Venture (JV) Engineering Specialist to join the D&WO Joint Ventures Coordination Team.

The purpose of the role will be to perform the broad spectrum of JV management tasks for Upstream services. The primary function is the responsibility to oversee and coordinate drilling JV activities related to rig operations, and ensure the required business support in various areas, including board and governance matters, is provided to the joint ventures.

Suitable applicants will have performed this function previously within an International Oil Company (IOC) or National Oil Company (NOC). Previous experience in the administration, coordination, and management of JV agreements is of high importance.

Key Responsibilities

You will be required to perform and demonstrate the following:

  • Oversee and coordinate board and governance matters, including the preparation of agenda, and the review and analysis of board materials, briefings, recommendations, and actions for resolutions. 
  • Act as primary contact point between the JV companies and all Saudi Aramco organizations, and ensure effective communication protocol between stakeholders.
  • Monitor and provide guidance on JV business, including corporate governance, commercial terms, and various contractual and JV agreements, in collaboration with other teams: Finance, HR, Technical Performance, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment).
  • Organize and coordinate workshops related to JV operations, including technical performance, HSE matters, and commercial and legal matters between stakeholders.
  • Monitor and provide support services on JV capital projects and coordinate required approvals in accordance with the shareholders' policies and guidelines.

Job Requirements

As a successful candidate, you will hold a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering, or in another discipline of engineering.

You will have a minimum of 10 years of JV management experience. Preferably, at least 5 years of this experience will be in the oil and gas value chain.
