Priorities for the new energy strategy in Scotland - innovation, investment and decarbonisation

Morning, Wednesday, 14th June 2017

Central Edinburgh

THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED

Guest of Honour

Chris Stark, Director of Energy and Climate Change, The Scottish Government

This timely seminar will be an opportunity to discuss the new Scottish energy strategy and priorities for the shaping of Scotland's energy system - focusing on modernisation and key issues for delivery.

Sessions assess the future role of renewables - as well as wider low-carbon energies - and oil and gas, considering generation at a local level and opportunities for innovation - taking into account views within the energy sector and the importance of consumer engagement in developing a more modern energy mix.

Delegates will also consider the way forward for the decarbonisation of heat and transport, reducing consumption of electricity, heat and energy-intensive transport, and developing a smarter, flexible electricity network.
